Star Wars models for DAZ
Images of available Star Wars models for your 3D rendering. Note that these are not downloads but, where possible, download links will be on the pages. Some are hi-res characters and clothing for G8 and G3 models, some are simple objects such as vehicles. I'm hoping this will be a fairly exhaustive look at both free and premium models available for Star Wars fans.

Description
Why the CSS Enterprise was understandably nervous when it encountered the Battlestar Solaria in the area known to the colonies as the Ionian Nebula.
Based on this pic from the Battlestar Wiki that compares the size of the Galactica to the USS Nimitz from the modern US Navy.
Comparison
I have created a "show of scale" between the Heracles Class Battlecarrier and a Galactica-Type Battlestar.
This is based on the idea that the Heracles flight pods are roughly the same size as the old Nimitz-class
Heracles mesh by
Galactica mesh by Coxxon with a displacement map created by me.
Rendered in Poser 7 over a plain black background as the focus was the ships' relative sizes
Battlestar Galactica is copyright Universal/Syfy

Hmmm, do both ships "Jump" rather than "warP' different drive paradigms might have different effects on ship size. all the trek shiips seem to fit in a 150-1000m envelope when you are talking cannon designs.......
